About Us

Our Mission

We believe people need more reasons to play together. XDISC is about getting people moving, experimenting, laughing, and sharing those moments with friends and family. Whether someone is four years old or eighty, a complete beginner or a world champion, the goal is the same: put an XDISC in their hands and give them a reason to play.

That first finger spin captures it perfectly. Someone starts out convinced they cannot do it, then suddenly the disc is spinning on their finger and their whole expression changes. That sense of surprise and possibility is exactly what we want XDISC to create.

Our Story

XDISC began with curiosity and a willingness to question what a flying disc was supposed to look like. That experimentation led to the Pyra-Disc, an early design built around a distinctive center pyramid, and eventually to the XDISC we know today.

The goal was never simply to create something different for the sake of being different. The goal was to create a disc people would want to play with in all kinds of ways. XDISC can still be thrown and caught like a flying disc, but its design also invites spinning, balancing, flipping, tricks, games, and whatever else someone can dream up.

Over the years, the design has continued to evolve through testing, experimentation, new materials, and countless hours of play. What has remained constant is the reaction people have when they try it for the first time. They start with, “I can’t do that,” and a few moments later they are smiling and saying, “Look what I can do.” That moment is what XDISC is all about.

Meet the People Behind XDISC

XDISC has grown through a community of inventors, players, freestylers, ambassadors, and people who simply love to play. Some have helped shape the product, some have pushed the limits of what can be done with it, and others have helped introduce XDISC to new people and new places.

What connects all of them is the same curiosity that sits at the heart of the brand: what else can we do with this thing?

“I am willing to put my reputation on the line to support XDisc because I truly believe in the product. When I went to the African Beach Games on behalf of the FPA we brought a bunch of XDiscs with us. A lot of the kids had never seen any disc before. The sheer joy when these kids spun an XDisc on their finger was unforgettable. Watching their faces light up was proof enough for me. XDisc is universal. It takes our difficult discipline of freestyle and makes it accessible to everyone.”

Frizbee Mike Galloupe

NORTH AMERICAN TEAM MEMBER

Bio

2012 Frisbee mixed pairs world champion. Coach of the first junior XDISC champions.
I started learning disc Freestyle in 2000. I competed in my first tournament in 2002. I then began teaching and performing demos in schools, churches, festivals, and community events. XDISC is one of my favorite tools for teaching Freestyle. I can immediately see the joy on a person‘s face as soon as they feel the disc spinning on their finger and then, hopefully, I can inspire them to try freestyle in some form. It doesn’t matter if they are old, young, big or small. Whether it be with an original XDISC or the new XDISC AIR, I just want to share my passion for freestyle frisbee with everyone I meet.
