XDISC Games
XDISC is made to play with. Challenge a friend, test your balance, see how long you can keep it spinning, or make up a game of your own.
Start with one of these ideas and see where it takes you.
Spin Time
Spin It Right-Side Up
Getting a strong finger spin takes a few tries, but once you get the feel for it, it becomes surprisingly easy. The motion is a quick twist of the wrist, somewhere between snapping your fingers and twisting an orange.
A good spin can keep going for a long time, so once you’ve got it, see how long you can keep yours moving.
Try It Upside Down
Upside-down spins are even easier. Place the XDISC upside down on a smooth surface, rest your open hand on the disc, and give it a strong twist with your wrist.
You can also spin an upside-down XDISC on an open palm.
Make It a Challenge
Grab another XDISC and another player. Start your spins at the same time and see whose disc keeps going the longest.
Egg Toss/Hot Potato
Start With a Spin
One player spins the XDISC on a finger, then gently tosses the spinning disc toward another player.
The challenge? Catch it on one finger.
Keep It Moving
If the catch works and the XDISC is still spinning, toss it to the next player without stopping the spin.
With two players, take a step farther apart after each successful catch. With a group, keep passing it around the circle.
Missed It?
If the XDISC stops spinning, simply start it again and keep playing. If someone misses the catch altogether, decide whether they lose a point, earn a letter, or just jump back in.
It’s your game. Make the rules work for your group.
H-O-R-S-E
You Know the Game
It works just like H-O-R-S-E in basketball, except instead of matching shots, you’re matching XDISC tricks.
One player performs a trick. If the next player can’t repeat it successfully, they get a letter.
The last player who hasn’t spelled H-O-R-S-E wins.
Start Simple
New to XDISC? Try tossing a spinning disc from a finger on one hand to a finger on the other.
Once that gets easy, add more distance, switch fingers, change hands, or invent something completely different.
How Many Players?
Two works. Three works. Ten works.
The more people you add, the more tricks you’ll see.
Toss & Catch
Start With the Basics
XDISC is still a flying disc, so sometimes the best game is the simplest one: find someone and play catch.
Its stable flight makes it approachable for beginners, especially players who are still learning how much spin and control to put into a throw. XDISC
Build Confidence
Start close together and focus on easy, catchable throws. As you get more comfortable, increase the distance, change throwing angles, or add different catches.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s to keep the disc moving and keep playing.
Take It Outside
Grab an XDISC, find some space, and throw.
Sometimes that’s all the game you need.
Freestyle
Throw. Catch. Trick. Repeat.
Play catch with a twist.
Throw the XDISC to your partner, catch it on a finger, add a trick or move you’ve learned, then send it back.
With three or more players, keep it moving around the group.
Make It Yours
Once you’ve learned a few tricks, start combining them.
Spin into a catch. Flip into a pass. Add a body move. Try something that looks ridiculous and see whether it works.
Some of the best moves start with, “I wonder if I can…”
How Many Players?
Two or more.
Or play solo and see what you can invent on your own.
Boomerang
Make It Come Back
Throw the XDISC at a steep angle — roughly 45 degrees or more — and use the wind to help create a boomerang-style flight that curves back toward you or another player. XDISC
Use the Wind
This one works best when you pay attention to the conditions.
Experiment with your angle, power, and direction until you start getting the return flight you want. Small changes can make a big difference.
Turn It Into a Game
Play alone and see how close you can get the XDISC to return to your starting point, or add more players and create your own catching or accuracy challenge.
There’s no single way to play it.
